Frequently Asked Questions


How do I pay rent? 

- You can pay in person at our office 

- You can log into our website and pay on-line 

- Cash is NOT ACCEPTED for security reasons. 


How do I report a repair? 

- You can call your property manager 

- You can log into our wesite and fill out the Maintenance Request form. 


When is Rent due? 

- Your rent is ALWAYS due on the first day of the month. Your rent is late as of the end of business on the first but we give you a grace period until the 3rd. If your rent is not received in our office by the end of business on the 3rd day of the month then your account will automatically be charged a late fee. 


Am I able to sublet my apartment?

- No


How early do I have to notify Roxbury Management if I plan to move out? 

- Prior to moving, you must provide Roxbury Management with a 30 day written notice - Residents may go on-line and fill out the move-out form, at least 30 days prior to move-out. 


When I move out, how can I get my security deposit back? Can I use my security deposit for my last month
of rent?
 

- Security deposits are not to be used by resident instead of payment of rent. If you do not pay your rent, including the last month you are in the unit, you may be subject to eviction proceedings. You are entitled to an accounting of your security deposit as well as the appropriate refund, within 21 days of your moving out of the unit. 


I want to have an additional person move in. What should I do?

- Any persons not on the lease may occupy the unit only with the written permission of Roxbury Management,


When can I expect to receive my security deposit back?

- We have 21 days to return the deposit. Any past due rent, fees or move-out expenses will be deducted from your security deposit.


I have an emergency maintenance problem.  How do I get in touch with someone? 

- In the event of an emergency, please call 310-850-0558. This line is for maintenance emergencies ONLY. 


I locked myself out of my apartment. what should I do? 

- If you locked yourself out during normal business hours, you can contact your property manager. If you locked yourself out after hours you will need to call a locksmith to let you in. 


I plan on moving out. what do I do? 

- First you must give Roxbury Management a 30 day written notice of your intent to vacate. Also, you may request an initial inspection of your apartment. 


What is considered an emergency? 

-An emergency is a maintenance problem that creates a safety hazard to residents or imminent damage to property, so that repairing it cannot wait until the next business day. An example would be a broken pipe.


What information do I need to provide with my application? 

-Providing the correct documentation with your application greatly speeds up the process.  Please include:  Two recent pay stubs, Photo ID, Documents supporting other sources of income including Social Security, Disability, Child Support, etc., 2 Years of tax returns (self-employed only), and a copy of your most recent bank statement.
